What’s our vision?

By igniting the passion and courage that will make the geothermal community a global model for equality the aim is to one day become redundant, where no group needs to advocate for gender equality.

WING is the only organisation focused on achieving gender equality in the geothermal community.

Within New Zealand, we have 500+ members of which over 40% are male.

WING New Zealand’s important accomplishments from its inception in 2013 to present include:

  • White stylized eagle with outstretched wings on a black background.

Facilitating the WINGman special task force training program (developed by one of our foundation members)

  • White stylized eagle with outstretched wings, facing downward on a black background.

Project Matua, which studied and recommended improvements for more equitable parental support and flexible working arrangements

  • Black background with a white stylized eagle head and wings logo.

Developing Diversity in Recruitment guidelines to make available to companies in the geothermal industry
